Intakes to study in New Zealand

New Zealand universities typically have two main intakes for international students: February and July. The February intake is the primary one, offering the widest range of courses, while the July intake provides additional flexibility for certain programs. Some institutions may also offer smaller intakes in September or November, depending on the course and university. Students are encouraged to apply 6–12 months in advance to ensure ample time for visa processing and preparation.
January intake: This intake happens at the beginning of the year, and the application deadline is usually between August and September.
July intake: This intake takes place slightly after halfway through the year, and the application deadline is usually between February and March.
